Port Blair flight schedule: every direct flight, by day and time
This is the complete direct-flight timetable for Port Blair (Veer Savarkar International, IXZ) as the airlines filed it with the DGCA for summer 2026 — every flight number, its operating days, and when it lands or leaves. Four cities fly daily all season: Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Delhi. Hyderabad and Mumbai join outside the monsoon, and Visakhapatnam runs around three days a week. Booking sites show you one date at a time; this page shows the pattern.
Valid 29 March – 24 October 2026. This is the approved summer filing (published 18 March 2026), not a live feed — airlines do amend mid-season, and one route on this page already has. Treat it as the pattern, confirm the exact flight with the airline on the day you book, and note that the winter schedule takes over from late October — we re-publish this page when that filing appears.
The season at a glance

All times are the scheduled arrival into or departure out of Port Blair. Day dots run Monday to Sunday. Where a flight does not run the whole season, its window is stated — that column is the one worth reading twice.

The Vizag filing ends 15 April, yet the passenger record shows the route continuing at around three days a week through May — a mid-season amendment. That is the ceiling of what we can verify, so treat the days and times above as the last filed pattern and confirm with the airline before planning around it.
Bhubaneswar had a direct service from March 2025; it ended in January 2026 and is not in the summer filing. Looking for fares instead of timings? Our how-to-reach guide carries typical return fares for every city above.
Landing in time for the ferry — read this first
Most flights above land by early afternoon, and afternoon ferries to Havelock exist — so the same-day connection looks obvious on paper. We book it for no one. Weather delays into Port Blair are routine, ferry tickets are non-refundable, and a missed sailing breaks the whole first day; one of our guests lost exactly that bet to a delayed flight. Spend night one in Port Blair, take a morning ferry, and the timetable above becomes a comfortable one instead of a race. Our ferry cancellations study has the numbers behind that advice.
For hotels, homestays and fellow operators
If your "how to reach us" page needs a current flight picture, you are welcome to link this one instead of maintaining your own — that is why it exists. We update it from each DGCA schedule filing (next: the winter schedule, late October) and note amendments when the passenger record contradicts the filing. No sign-up, no attribution demanded; a link helps but even that is your call.
Sources and method
The timetable is parsed from the four DGCA Approved Summer Schedule 2026 "Airport Movement Report" filings — IndiGo, Air India, Air India Express and Akasa Air (published 18 March 2026), Port Blair sections only. Where we say a filing was amended, the evidence is the DGCA's monthly city-pair passenger statistics, read through an open-licensed mirror. Both are government publications; we compiled and cross-checked, and the two March–April one-off Air India filings (AI 485/486) are excluded as not representative. Full workings live in our 11-year flight-data study.
Schedule questions, answered
Which airlines fly to Port Blair?
Four, in the 2026 summer schedule: IndiGo, Air India, Air India Express and Akasa Air. IndiGo operates the most flights, Air India Express covers Kolkata and Bengaluru daily, Air India flies the Delhi route, and Akasa Air serves Chennai daily plus Kolkata four days a week. Every service is a domestic flight — no airline flies to Port Blair from outside India.
Which days do flights operate to Port Blair?
From Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Delhi there are direct flights every single day of the summer schedule. Hyderabad and Mumbai are also daily services when their seasonal windows are open — Hyderabad outside 1 July to 30 September, Mumbai from 1 to 24 October this season. Visakhapatnam runs around three days a week, on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The only weekday quirk worth knowing: IndiGo's second Kolkata flight (6E 345) shifts from an 11:05 arrival on most days to 14:05 on Saturdays.
What time do flights land in Port Blair?
Almost everything lands between 07:00 and 15:00. The earliest arrival is IndiGo's 6E 526 from Chennai at 06:55; the last scheduled arrival is Air India Express from Bengaluru at 14:25. There are no night arrivals in the current schedule — the airport works a daytime pattern, which is also why departures cluster through the morning and early afternoon.
Are there flights to Port Blair during the monsoon?
Yes — plenty. Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Delhi keep daily direct flights right through the monsoon. What changes is the edge of the network: Hyderabad's nonstop pauses from 1 July to 30 September and Mumbai's does not operate until October, so travellers from those cities connect via Chennai, Bengaluru or Kolkata in the monsoon months. Our flight-data study covers why the network breathes like this.
Can I catch a same-day ferry to Havelock after landing?
On paper, often yes — most flights land by early afternoon and afternoon ferries exist. We still tell every guest no. Flights into Port Blair take weather delays, and a missed ferry departure is a lost, non-refundable ticket and a broken itinerary on day one. A guest of ours learned that the hard way after a delayed flight. Spend the first night in Port Blair and take a morning ferry — the schedule works with you rather than against you that way.
When does this schedule change?
The summer schedule runs to 24 October 2026. From late October, airlines file a fresh winter schedule with the DGCA — winter is peak season here, so the network usually widens: that is when Mumbai and Hyderabad return and frequencies rise. We re-publish this page from the winter filing when it appears. Airlines also amend mid-season, so treat this as the approved plan and confirm the exact flight on the airline's own site or app on the day you book.

How this page stays true
Compiled by the Tropical Andamans team in Port Blair, July 2026, from the DGCA filings named above. This page states validity windows on their face because schedules have them, and marks one route as amended because the passenger record says so. It is re-published from each new schedule filing — next in late October 2026. If you fly a route this table gets wrong, we want to know: the fastest correction is a WhatsApp message.
