Cancellation & refunds
The honest version first: the sea decides more here than any operator does. Monsoon swell and port-authority calls can cancel ferries and water activities at short notice, especially June–September. This page explains what happens when they do — and what happens when you cancel.
When weather or the operator cancels
If a ferry, transfer or activity is cancelled by its operator or by sea conditions, that's not on you. We'll move it to another slot or day where the itinerary allows; if it can't be rescheduled, we refund that portion of your package. We'll tell you as soon as we know — usually before you do.
When you cancel
Charges depend on how close to travel you cancel, because hotels and ferries take non-recoverable advances from us.
| Notice given | What you get back |
|---|---|
| 30+ days before travel | Full refund, minus any non-recoverable hotel or ferry advances already paid out. |
| 15–29 days before travel | 50% of the package advance is retained; the rest is refunded. |
| Under 15 days before travel | Advances are non-refundable, but we’ll try to recover what we can from hotels and operators and pass it back to you. |
How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to the original payment method within 7–10 working days of the cancellation being confirmed. We'll send written confirmation when the refund is initiated.
